植物生物技术报告提供了原创的，同行评议的文章，涉及植物生物技术领域的基础和应用研究的所有方面。涵盖分子生物学、遗传学、生物化学、细胞和组织培养、次生代谢产物的产生、代谢工程、基因组学、蛋白质组学和代谢组学。植物生物技术报告强调对亚太地区本土植物的研究以及与植物生物技术商业化有关的研究。植物生物技术报告不排除对包括藻类和蓝藻在内的低等植物的研究，如果这些研究是在上述方面进行的。

Plant Biotechnology Reports offers original, peer-reviewed articles dealing with all aspects of fundamental and applied research in the field of plant biotechnology. Coverage extends to molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, cell and tissue culture, production of secondary metabolites, metabolic engineering, genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.Plant Biotechnology Reports emphasizes studies on plants indigenous to the Asia-Pacific region and studies related to commercialization of plant biotechnology.
