计算与应用数学于1981年开始出版。该杂志被认为是巴西计算和应用数学学会(SBMAC)的主要科学出版物。该杂志的目标是出版应用数学和计算数学的原始研究，包括物理、工程、化学、生物学、运筹学、统计学、社会科学和经济学。该期刊具有国际科学期刊通常的质量标准，我们的目标是在独创性、深度和相关性方面做出高水平的贡献。CAM目前在数学评论和科学信息研究所(Webofscience)进行评审。

Computational & Applied Mathematics began to be published in 1981. This journal was conceived as the main scientific publication of the Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics (SBMAC). The objective of the journal is the publication of original research in Applied and Computational Mathematics, with interfaces in Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Operations Research, Statistics, Social Sciences and Economy. The journal has the usual quality standards of scientific international journals and we aim high level of contributions in terms of originality, depth and relevance. CAM is currently reviewed in Mathematical Reviews and Institute of Scientific Information (Webofscience).
